Preparing the skin well before applying a self-tanner is essential to obtain a uniform result, without streaks or stains. Here are some simple beauty tips for getting flawless skin before applying your self-tanner.
To make it easier to apply your self-tanner and to avoid leaving marks when you use the razor, it is best to wax before applying.
For an even complexion, be sure to depilate at least 24 hours in advance so that the self-tanner does not penetrate the empty pores left by the hairs and thus cause small spots.
For a harmonious and even tan, the first step, before applying a self-tanner, is to exfoliate the skin to remove dead skin cells and impurities. The skin is smoothed, which facilitates application while avoiding unsightly traces.
A few days before applying your self-tanner, gently exfoliate your face and body using your favorite scrub, paying particular attention to rough areas such as knees, elbows, ankles and heels, to get rid of a maximum of dead skin cells.
It is not necessary to exfoliate too hard because it may cause damage and irritation to the skin. Opt for a light exfoliation, adapted to the sensitivity of your skin.
Among all the scrub textures, choose the one that suits you: with more or less fine and round particles for a gentle exfoliation, or larger for a more intense exfoliation adapted to the body.
